What Is This Blog All About

My Purpose

Too many small business owners make uneducated decisions when it comes to Internet marketing and end up out of business or deep in the hole because they just didn’t know any better. Some have had some success in the past marketing through the phone books and newspapers and just can’t figure out how to translate that success to the Internet.

The purpose of this blog is to enlighten small business owners and educate them on how to market their business on the Internet.  This blog does have a twist, this will be no hold barred advice. This will not be written in the corporate / soccer mom / everything will be alright mode. This is straight forward advice given by a professional with over 12 years experience in Internet marketing and 9 years of print / tv / radio marketing experience prior to that .

I hope that this blog not only educates small businesses owners but entertains them as well.

My name is Jayme Ward and I own Digi Donkey, an Internet marketing company located in Cocoa, FL. with clients all over the United States. I also own CheapAssWebsite.com home of the cheap website.   I can be reached for comments at info@digidonkey.com

  1. Hi Digi Donkey Team,

Urr, Jayme Ward, that is your name. Sounds good. I like your thoughts, writing style and content. I am based in Mumbai- India and love to write, do SEO (hey no, not angry at all) as well as PPC.

What you fail to mention is about the CON-TIKI-Dolphin Syndrom. It is about the voyage of 4 guys from USA to Hawai or some place by means of a raft as it was done 600 years ago.

During the journey the raft toppled several times and these guys lost their food. The surprising part was small dolphins jumped on their raft and wanted to be slaughtered (inspite of them being push or thrown back into the sea). You guessed it right. These guys had a few dolphins to survice.

Coming back to the point, I come across many client who forcefully demand an SEO for which I try to educated them (in vain- many a times) and land up getting fat cheques.

The same results could come via PPC for fraction of a cost, but not always for all the catagories. I have come across a company CEO telling me proudly that he is spending Rs.30000 per day (around $500 per day) and getting many inquiries that he is unable to handle.

When I told him that he could reduce the budget and adjust the flow, he refused. Funny! Isn’t it? Well, life is like that.

    Take care!
